  • The X-Prize was a giant anticlimax.

    The car most likely to be made (Aptera) was 'beaten' by a car that the owners specifically said would *not* be put into production.

    Say what you like, the VLC will never make it to anybody's garage.

    Meanwhile, companies that did *not* enter the X-Prize are the ones building electric cars we can actually buy. Ironic.

  • How are you 'pushing the envelope' exactly?

    The car is carbon fibre and plexiglass, no wind-down windows, aircon, radio, airbags, interior trim or even paint. It's a stripped down prototype modeled after the Aptera, which you used as your template. You don't even have plans to mass produce the car.

    Sorry, that's not pushing the envelope.
