@Unworshipediety You...agree? That happens so seldom...I must've been wrong somewhere. :-]

@thalohalo I was with you up until the point you called me a fanatic:) But yeah ok I see what your saying as some time has passed since I discussed this issue. I'm a bit more open to influence now. Though I'm nearly at the point of just not caring anymore. I did like your "taking on issues in shifts" metaphor which painted your point perfectly. So I agree with you for the most part I'm unsure of what I disagree with you on. Anyways Thanks for taking the time to respond to a 3month old comment.

@Unworshipediety There are a lot of us atheists out there. So there's no reason to limit our scope. We can take the issues on in shifts, and Mr. Bollox probably has the steel beam shift. He is advising Americans to protest occasions where the Government promotes a religion...which it is...and I will...much to the chagrin of the grieving families you mention, all of whom are apparently American and christian. But you're a fanatic too, I see, when you say to focus on "rights." We are.

@hackenbollox Thank you I do like to assumption much. Though looked up some of your points seems you have some valid arguments.

Trojan cross for Je$u$
To me video showed how pointless it is to try to take the cross down. It will never happen. So fight another fight worth fighting that everyone isn't going to be so fanatical about. There is just no way your going to tell people who've lost loved ones in that tragedy they should accommodate atheist because they are offended. In America most people are Religious. Focus efforts on things that can affect real people like Abortion, Education, Rights. Not steel beams that form into a cross big deal.

@Unworshipediety
The establishment clause does affect real people, or maybe you've slept through the recent debacles at the Texas State Board of Education?
Way to completely miss the point.

@hackenbollox It just doesn't seem important enough to quibble over. I suppose its good that people are bringing the issue to the forefront but still it just doesn't seem to me at least like it really matters. I'm not missing the point I just don't agree with you. The way to convince someone of your opinion might be to not insult them right out the gate. But whatever that's how most youtube comments go...insult me I insult you etc. I'll actually take to time to look up what you brought to table.

@Unworshipediety
I insulted you? Where?
The simple fact is that the establishment clause is one of the greatest and most important pieces of legislation ever devised. I really wish we had an establishment clause (or indeed a constitution) in the UK.
Ultimately, whether the fight is pointless or not, it still needs to be fought, because this is how freedom is won and retained. Would you tell Rosa Parkes that she shouldn't have sat on the bus?

@hackenbollox Guess you didn't insult me no worries & come on Rosa Parkes?! Gosh I really need to study up on my UK civil rights so I can bring something up racially & culturally pointless to the discussion. Do you know how many times I'm reminded I'm black in these little spats on YT fucking shit! No offense I just can't deal with this right now...next thing you know you'll bring up Martin Luther King...anyways you have some interesting video's thanks for engaging in conversation. Bye

@Unworshipediety
Actually, I hadn't realised you were black until you just pointed it out. Such things are of no concern to me. The comment was erected because that fight was thought to be equally pointless. This is how freedoms are won and retained. It was nothing to do with race or culture, only an example of a fight that was thought to be pointless, and I chose that example because everyone's heard of her.
Nice assumptions, though.
