I know I know! Sometimes now with a deaf husband it's even freaker. I'll tell my son, "go clean your room" two seconds later, hubby will come around the corner and say the SAME thing. It's freaky. LOL

  • @codadiva The funniest story- when my dad was @ work, he'd shout for some1 across the warehouse & have the phone in his hand, motioning 2 some1 that there was a phone call for them. They'd get frustrated, shut down their machine & hurry over 2 the phone. When my dad handed it 2 them & they'd say, "hello? hello? hellllloooo?" look at my dad and say, "noone's on there?" My dad wld say, "how wld i no if the phone even rang? Im deaf!!!!!" hahahahahahaha!!!!! they'd feel silly but laughed for days!!

  • @ashNpaul909 This is awesome!!! Made me laugh, it's funny how smart Deaf people can be with their jokes!

I think it's common for us Codas to think that way, we are very imaginative.

  • Nice breasts!!!

  • haha I thought my brother and I were the only ones who thought that our parents were faking ...many times we would say stuff and they would look at us like they knew what we were saying...this is too funny...:)

  • I thought my dad was faking it until I was 10. I tested him all the time by calling him bad names or blaring the TV and when he finally told me to turn the volume down on the TV that confirmed my belief that HE WAS TOTES FAKING it and I persisted in that belief until finally our fire alarm went off in the dead of night and his light had run out of batteries and *I* had to go wake him up. I figured he wouldn't DIE in a fire just to 'test' me, so he must really be Deaf.

  • I'm a coda too, and you're doing it wrong.

Go to bed, get back out of bed, go behind the couch where your parents are sitting, and SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM. If they don't get scared, you're good!

  • @codadiva and at cheerleading practice, my dad wld sit on bleechers & put his hand 2 cup his ear & say, "cheer louder, I can't hear you!!!!!" One day, I tld every1 2 just cheer at the top of their lungs, and my dad said, "Heeey, GREAT JOB! I heard you all that time : )" My coach said, "way 2 go girls! Keep THAT up, if a DEAF man can hear you, THAT'S WHAT I WANT!!" hahahahahahahaha!!!!!! My father's done some silly stuff, but gosh I love him!

  • Im a CODA & my friends asked the SAME, what IF my parents cld hear me all that time as a child? I said, "ohhh, I would've been in BIIIG trouble by NOW w/some of the things I said" lmbo! But when turning away after getting yelled @, mumbling, my fatherw wld say, "i heard that, u better stop talking negative", hahaha!!

  • ha! so true. my friends will come over and be like "wouldn't it be crazy if your grandma and parents could hear everything and were messing with you your whole life" and i laugh every time

  • i put this on mute and i understood
