I never heard Pete Carroll or any USC player make any excuses or accuse the refs of giving the game away to the Longhorns. Matt Leinhart still believed that they were the better team and maybe they were.
They had more than one chance to put the game away and they let it slip away. One bad call didn't lose the game for them. Vince Young was phenomenal. Period!

@gravics I know this is old now & doesn't matter, but I can think of a couple times that very same year that USC benefited from bad and/or no calls. So honestly, karma came back to bite them in the ass & I loved every second of it. I think you shortchanged Vince a little bit in this game. It wasn't phenomenal, this is what stuff of legends are made of my friend. :P
