@lokks707 Therefore, the sound of footsteps which we may hear a century later is but a manifestation of an activity and sound which would have actually occurred when the spirit was alive. All that said, you may have different opinions which are just as valid :)

@lokks707 my belief is that the spirit makes noises which it did in its lifetime. I don’t believe there is a physical pair of shoes making the noise up the stairs. However, I do believe, for example, that if the spirit was that of a man who had once lived in the house, perhaps as a father in the 19th century, then he would have walked across the house's floorboards with his hard-soled shoes quite often during his life.

@lizzythewhite You say that a spirit can walk up a set of stairs and make noise. Do you think that this spirit is wearing shoes?

@lokks707 what do you mean did the spirit take a stairway with him/her? Im not discrediting your opinion but evp's are supposed to pick up the noises of the spirits residing in a place. The idea is that the noises which we would naturally make walking up stairs or across floorboards occur when there is no one physically there to make them. If the spirit is walking up a set of stairs in a house then that is the sound which the recording picks up.

You know, all these noises that ghost hunters pick up don't make any sense at all. First of all, how do you get footsteps noises on EVP? Did this "spirit" take a wooden stair way with him/her? What about the shoes that make the foot steps noise? Do they wear noisy shoes in the 'spirit world', too? I think that all of these EVPs could be random noises/voices from people doing every day things in a parallel universe.
