yes you can use the time capsule in the laboratory. it's just a trade machine, but yeah you can trade no problem. and actually, if you catch over 100 (i'm guessing) pokemon in another 1gen game, you can intercept your pokemon from the other game from n64's box. so yes you CAN do that, but it takes time to get there. oh and it's 150 out of 251 in the new 2gens.
