Rise of Flight: Fokker_DR.1_vs_Locomotive_HD

This is the Fokker DR.1 of Rise of Flight from neoqb taking on an enemy locomotive. Notice how the train unhitches the cars to lighten the load and makes a break for it. After several passes, some better than others, I manage to damage the boiler and he loses steam, eventually coming to a stop. I then finish him off and the boiler explodes. This footage features the upcoming Fokker DR.1 triplane with 1.08 Beta FM and code. The Fokker DR.1 should be available for purchase to add to your Rise of Flight aircraft collection end of October 2009.

Ok, but i don't understand. What's the point of buying a 200$ dollar device to just look around when you can hold down a button on the joystick to look around? I just don't understand, don't get me wrong motion tracking sounds cool but it just doesn't make any sense to me.

Well, first it's not $200. More like $150, but the point of it is that it is a natural way to look around, opposed to using your fingers to look around which is not natural. Trust me when I say once you use a TrackIR in a flight sim you'll never go back to a hat-switch. Ask around the flight-sim community and you'll see how valuable the TrackIR is. Don't just take my word for it.

With your hat switch you can just look left, right, up and down. With TIR you can roll your head opposite of your plane´s bank, as a real pilot does. You can move your head in all directions.

You can´t fly without, after testing it once. And you have no chance to win an online dogfight without :-))
