  • This is one of the first study I've memorized.

    Full source : Rinck, Deutsche Schachzeitung, 1903, #915.

    Note that there is a faulty version of this study with an useless white pawn on a2, certainly not from Rinck.

    Note that the pin is also very basically the same tactical motive as the enfilade (or skewer), at this difference that, on a pin on the opposite King, the pinned piece can't even move...
