Taiwanese Puppet Theatre

This was the Canadian premiere of spectacularly crafted puppets performed by the internationally renowned Taiwanese Puppet Theatre. The celebrations began with "CHEERS AND PUPPETEERS!" a fundraising gala. Then we hosted a free outdoor puppet show perfomance outside the Bay Centre on Friday, March 20th that was Sponsored by the Downtown Business Association. The full performances were hosted at the Victoria Event Centre on Broad St. from March 14 - 22, 2009. From March 17 - 20, we held free children's puppet-making Workshops for ages 4-7 & ages 8-12 at the Emily Carr branch of the Public Library. Workshops were generously sponsored by SUCCESS BY SIX and held 30 children per session where the building and manipulating puppets was led by the Puppeteers.
