Boomer Freakin' Sooner

It was cold as ice! This is when OU visited Nebraska in 2001 following our national championship the year before. Me and the bro got up at 7a to 22 degree weather and battled way too many 6'8" Nebraska fans to get our now infmaous (thanks J-Mo) sign "Boomer Freakin' Sooner" on TV.

There have been at least 3 separate confirmed sightings of a picture of the Boomer Freakin' Sooner sign blown up and put on a truck tailgate in the OKC metro area.

There was only one other OU fan at ESPN Gameday that morning. Despite the 20-10 loss (and Jason White tearing his ACL and our failure to successfully run the double reverse and NU's/Eric Crouch's success to show us how a few plays later), that was the most fun I had on a road game, esp. with the bro.

Nebraska fans are pretty classy; something you don't see too much in Norman.

P.S. The other side of the sign was a drawing of Roy Williams doing a Heisman pose, which made it on the front page of the Norman transcript the Sunday following the game. Hence, me flipping the sign to get both sides on TV. We were filmed for about 30 seconds, but I only flipped it for like 5 seconds, which was the part that got on.
