This one came in a dream, literally. I saw poor old Michael Jackson, kind of writhing in drug induced fear and agony, being held by his choreographer (who I chose to call Jesus because it's really hard to find a word that rhymes with choreographer...). Later in the same dream I saw a friend of my Ravi, a big piano with some hard to press wooden keys, and some little children who were enjoying themselves. At fourteen months clean (again) this material certainly exists under my own skin. This song was hard to write, and hard to sing. I understand that. I hope it communicates....

Just some powder that he kept in a bottle

No more Disneyland sleepy time visions
Until the needle finds your vein

For to take away the pain...

I had some friends and I had some family
I had some children and a wife
I was a king and the world was my castle
And all of us were safe
All it took was some powder in a bottle
I kept taking out to play...

We were walking in a hall
He sat me down at a big old piano
I could see my fingers fall
All the children singing glory hallelujah
A melody began to form
I was standing with some powder in a bottle
In the middle of a storm...
