  • Hi, I'm a mom of 3 and I can't afford preschool. I use PHONIC DANCE STUDIO and it was amazing. My kids learned 26 new dance moves AND all their letter sounds in 2 weeks. Don't worry its all you need to get ready for preschool or kinder. You can find it here on youtube. It costs less than $10 to download and it has saved me alot of money, even if your child is in preschool this will really help.

  • i was replying t a other comment whic was alaso made about one of my oast comments onn thus same video, what i thought was inappropriate was 'ladling chicks', not the actual 'ladling' process, when it comes to that i think we cant have enough practical life activities :)

  • I believe that "ladling" should be considered a part of PRACTICAL LIFE....in response to carmensita001's comment. It is just one of many other activities that does not include water.

  • HAHA!!! AGREED! These activites turn kids into monotone OCD freaks. Let them play in the dirt a bit would you? this is way too prescriptive.

  • the point of practical life is that it must represent PRACTICAL LIFE. I appreciate the fact that it might be reflecting the topic they are studying but nevertheless i feel after all my years as a Montessori Directress that this particular activity is inappropriate. As for spillage, with any activity like this i.e. pouring, children need to learn that if your not careful spillage will occur, the spillage of course acting as a Point of consciousness.

  • Chicks don't spill, and kids like fluffy toys!

  • you mean drooling?

  • ladybonkers you want to be careful who you model your teaching behaviors after. Tami is brave for presenting so many lessons but some have skipped steps and don't model the refinement Montessori often spoke and wrote about. Best of luck and long Montessori life to you. Most Montessorians agree it takes a good 7 years to really acquire all the skills necessary to truly embody the entire curriculum.

  • She could be studying Spring. It's commen to use your Montessori theme throughout the classroom.

  • I hope you were joking when you wrote this, I am baffled and must call your comment immature! It's the ladling, much like you would meatballs, etc. C'mon now
