I thought these were Otis, but I guess I was wrong! Anyway, for a parking garage, these elevators are very nice. I hate the one on the right, since it only holds 3 people. The sign advertises that more than 3 people will stall the elevator. (Oh no!) The reason why I called these death-traps was because when I was younger, I did not know what a delayed start was. Since these elevators give a 5 second delayed start, I thought I was stuck, so I freaked out. After returning and re-experiencing them, I now see that they aren't that bad, and seem to run very nicely. (Except for that obnoxious delayed start!)

About the parking... My mom was skeptical parking here, since it was a bit expensive and was worried about some issues we may encounter later. (You can see here discussing issues with an associate.) After the associate convinces her to buy the VIP package for only $10 more, we took our ascend on the elevator. When we returned after seeing Wicked, (which I highly recommend. It is an excellent play and will keep you entertained the whole time.) our Acura RDX was waiting patiently for us, all fired up and ready to go! I highly recommend seeing the NYC Broadway play Wicked, and trusting this parking lot with your car.

Anyway... Here are the technical specs!
Brand- Westinghouse
Type- Inground Hydraulic
Fixtures- EPCO Circleline
Speed- 100 FPM
Installed- 1970's or 1980's
Capacities:
Big Car- 2500 lbs.
Small Car- 3 People!!! ~750 lbs. (I didn't ride it, with good reasons to!)

  • Whatever these are, these seem unique for some reason. I would love to ride that 3 person elevator, I love really small ones.

  • They are in a way unique.

  • It seems fine, although it's a bit slow. Probably Westinghouse, Staley or Seaburg. Not Otis.

Don't call elevators deathtraps for no reason. You might end up being sent to Camp Shame.

    (inside joke)

  • I consider it a death-trap since it scared me when I was younger. It also gives a severe delayed start. These elevators seem creepy to me, but overall they seem to run pretty decent. I will relabel the video.

  • My guess would be Westinghouse.

  • Maybe.

  • I KNEW IT! I remember seeing it on one of the elevators, but I guess I forgot to look! If you remember when I first had this video up it said Otis on it. The theatre itself has Otis.

  • You may be right.

  • I guess it's not so bad, but it gives a severe delayed start, (about 5 seconds, no joke) and scared me when I was younger. It's not really a death-trap, but it scares me.

  • What's wrong with it (besides a rather bad looking cab)? Also, the Hilton Ballpark service elevator in St. Louis, a labeled Westinghouse, had those exact same call buttons on many floors. So this is most likely a Westinghouse.

  • What's wrong with this? I am leaning a bit more toward Westinghouse or Millar.
