MILLION VOLUNTEER RUN! THE RUN FOR HUMANITY! Philippine Red Cross, South Cotabato, Mindanao! A nationwide simultaneous Run; an event participated by ALL-WALKS-OF-LIFE- spearhead by the PHILIPPINE RED CROSS!

Amid the heavy downpour of rain, an estimated 200 out of more than 700 participants who were officially registered showed up & joined this FUN RUN activity!

Registered runners from ages 3 years and over; started warming up at around 4:30a.m.; at the Rizal Park; initially performed some sort of Calisthenics. Fifteen minutes into this heating exercises, the early morning drizzle starts!

Unmindful of the threatening rain fall, the fun continued; loud music enveloped the area, almost all in synchrony headed by the 'cheer-leader' clutching the microphone for instruction!

The all-red crowd, in unison, stretching, perspiring & soaking with rainwater- everybody seems hyper, eager & ready to engage for the run!

The cloud's precipitates never forgave us soaking everyone who decided not to seek shelter! Convinced that the Low Pressure Area is somewhat spoiling the said event ; most of us proceeded with the MARATHON WET AND WILD!

Few minutes past 5 a.m.; shots were fired at the starting line for the 10K, then followed by the 5K runners and finally the 3K participants were called in to follow the pack of enthusiastic participants!

Before 6 O'clock in the morning, first batch of finishers started to arrive at the finished line. Here we started noting the first few Top contenders with their respective category, obviously soaked in rain water and perspiration!

This Rain-inspired Marathoners were not deterred by the chilling early morning bath just to show their sheer stamina for the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) events.

As member of the Board of Directors of PRC, South Cotabato chapter, and in behalf of the organizers, I congratulate everyone who joined with us in completing this kind of Run for Humanity!

Because of you, this is a MILESTONE, ONE BIG SUCCESS not only for the PRC, South Cotabato chapter but to the entire PHILIPPINE RED CROSS nationwide - who braved & stomped on the FLOODED STREETS OF KORONADAL CITY just to realize your support and contributed to the Million Volunteer Run in general!

Thank you and God bless us all! Dr. Reuel Tianchon Magan!
