I respect you so much for posting this. I was just feeling really lonely and I was trying to write out all those feelings that were sorta mixed up inside. That would help to I guess feel better. Its hard to tell people when they do not understand or do not really care. If they listen it causes pity and no one wants that it does not help in anyway. Being a TCK myself I understand.
thanks and Take care :)

Soulofbass, that was so moving! Thanks for sharing that. At the end I was crying with you. I'm an adult Third Culture Kid and I mourn for my relationships- the friends I had to leave, and the friends I never opened up to, or shared a piece of my soul, because I was terrified of losing them too, and losing that piece of my soul.

Thanks for this. Our family moved back and forth between India and England and Norway every 6-12 months. The longest time in India was a 2 year stretch, but mostly 6 months, then back to England or Norway, then back to India.... Absolutely insanely confusing as a kid. Made friends and lost them all my life. Best friends who years later almost couldnt speak to anymore... people I didnt get along with before suddenly becoming very close friends.. made new ones, lost some.....
life is about change

Dude, I don't know you, but I feel like part of my life was yours. I haven't made as many moves as you, but I've said a few goodbyes after living in 7 countries. I'm with you on the tragedy of having really good friends relegated to a facebook photo. Thanks for being brutally honest and making your thoughts available to whomever could benefit from them. You eloquently voiced emotions I haven't known how to express that have been pushed aside. Thanks. May God give you a true life friend.

Thanks for sharing your heart and soul with us - I knew you as a young boy, and always felt your distance ( i babysat Joel when you were in TO in the late 90's). I didn't know how to reach you, but this explains why you were hard to reach. Thank God you had the friends you did, when you did! I've been to many different schools, moved a bit, and lost friends too, as life brings you to diff't places. It's a difficult part of life. Thanks again for sharing! You have a precious heart!

Wanted to watch all three before I commented. Dude. Wow.
First off, I admire your honesty, and your courage for talking so openly. I wish I had the guts to make a video like this.
I'm not a TCK, just an american gypsy. No contact with any of my old friends. Too many moves. Too many goodbyes. Life is fluid, and home is where I am. It's... solitary, but it makes you strong, and dude, you've got strength.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts man, you rock.
