@celticfireify Incredible coincidence. I also had a gorgeous little Pomeranian. Now I have two wonderful papillons. I agree that paps are more affectionate. They are all very intelligent dogs but they do require a lot of attention. They give in return a thousand times what they receive. Love them. ( and I am Irish too. - living in NZ)

I had a pom and he was the love of my life and I now have a pap. It's a tough question. They're both highly intelligent and a lot of fun. But I wouldn't have small children around either. They are just TOO small. They both have great temperments. Poms I think like to chase small children. Paps are more affectionate. If the chhildren are old enough to know you have to be very careful with them, and are not too young, I think it's a great idea. Good luck and have fun.
