do you guys hate this new set up as much as i do?

Keira: *Runs through the door, happy.* Wee!
Joe: *Looks up from watching T.V with Nick.* Whats going on sweetie?
Keira: I have a new best friend and hes so cool!
Joe: He? Its a boy?
Keira: *Nods.* Yea!
Joe: Keira, your only six, you should have girl friends to hang out with.
Keira: But Jakes really nice!
Joe: *Sighs.* Alight.
Nick: *Stands up and takes Joes hand.* What would you like to do today Keira?
Keira: *Shrugs.* I dont know, Im just really happy. *Does a kart wheel.* Wee!
Joe: *Raises an eyebrow.* Wow, I didnt know you can do that.
Keira: I used to do gymnastics when I was young. I havent done it in a few years but Im still flexible.
Joe: Would you like it if we put you in like an after school gymnastic program?
Keira: *Eyes light up.* THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME!
Joe: *Chuckles.* Okay, well look up some places tonight.
Keira: *Smiles and hugs him.* THANK YOU!!
Joe: *Smiles and hugs her back.* Your welcome sweetheart.
~Later that night
Keira: *Sitting on Joes lap, watching dragon tales. Sleepy. Closes her eyes and lays her head on Joes chest.*
Joe: *Strokes her hair and smiles.*
Keira: *Buries her head in Joes chest and falls asleep.*
Joe: *Makes an awe face.*
Nick: *Walks into the room.* Aw, how cute.
Joe: *Smiles up at him.* Could we be any more lucky?
Nick: *Sits next to him.* Nope. *Kisses Keiras forehead.*
Joe: Come on lets go up to bed.
~The next day
Keira: *Bites her lip, walking through the hall was with Jake.* Do you wanna play today?
Jake: I want to but my dad wants me home right away.
Keira: *Sad.* Okay.. How about tomorrow?
Jake: Um, how about this weekend when Im with my mom?
Keira: Your parents are divorced?
Jake: Yea.. But she only lives a few minutes a way, I see her on the weekends.
Keira; *Smiles.* Okay.
Jake: *Looks at her and smiles.* We can play all day.
Keira: *Smiles and blushes.* Yea.
~Later
Keira: *Walks inside.*
Joe: Keira, we found a place where you can do gymnastics.
Keira: *Gasps.* REALLY? Where?!
Joe: *Chuckles.* Theres a place right down the road. You can go everyday after school.
Keira: *Hugs his legs.* Thank you!
Joe: *Picks her up.* Your welcome sweetheart.
Keira: *Smiling.* Can I hang out with my friend Jake on Saturday?
Joe: *Sighs.* I dont know honey, I dont think you should be hanging out with boys yet.
Keira: But daddy hes super nice to me, and he doesnt have a lot of friends cause hes really shy.
Joe: *Half smiles.* Alright.
Keira: Wee! Thank you! *Runs upstairs to her room.*
Nick: *Walks over.* Whats with the long face?
Joe: I hope she doesnt have a crush on him or something. She should hold off on that for at least 8 more years.
Nick: *Hugs him from the side.* One day all the boys will be after her, I mean shes a beautiful little girl right now.
Joe: *Sits on the couch.* Ugh, well have to beat them off with a bat.
Nick: *Laughs and sits on his lap.* Trust me, were good for a few years. But when the time comes and she needs the talk.. You can tell it. *Kisses him.*
Joe: *Pulls away.* Nuh uh, no way.
Nick: *Giggles.* I mean I think you know more about this stuff, huh? *Rubs his upper leg.*
Joe: *Pushes his hand away.* You dont want to go there when shes home. Trust me. *Winks.*
Nick: *Giggles.* Well I guess well tell her together when the time is right.
Joe: *Sighs.* Yea..
