A lip sync animation I worked on to keep me on the ball in Autodesk 3DS Max. Took me around about 10 hours I think. The voice is from 'The Office' and its the ever ruthless and ready Dwight Schrute (in no way mine, in fact I got it here http://www.whatsthescuttlebutt.com/theoffice.php). The character is the 'Max' rig obtained via the 11 second club (here, http://www.11secondclub.com/resources/) and was created by Peter Starostin and James Hunt.

  • how did you anime the eyelid? I don't have the facial command for it, and i cant rotate it up and down....HELP!

  • @FlashGamesNemesis Ok, I had trouble with this before the 11 second club community were kind enough to help me out. In the window with the controls such as Jaw, Wide, Narrow etc, you should find Eye/Brows towards the bottom right just above where the eye controls are. If you select one of the squares (under R and L) then open the Modify tab up in the top right of your screen, you should see a menu with arrows/sliders for the eyebrows. Hope this helps, let me know if it doesn't.

  • @Jamesinho67 YO Thank you sOOO much! That helped me very much!

  • @FlashGamesNemesis No problem ;) Let me know when the animation's finished.

  • the only thing I have against this animation is the eye blink within the 8 to 10 second part. I dont think I can even blink that fast.

  • @T2Master01 Thanks for the comment. I was going more for something inbetween a blink and nervous flicker, as if he was thinking, "that came out wrong". Too late to change it now too, the showreel has been posted out. :)

  • hehe...dwight

  • he looks like woody from toy story

  • Great job, very smooth--but maybe a little bit too much so. A little touch of exaggeration would make it come truly to life.
