  • uhm... I really want to learn one., though I don't have people here knows how to play Erhu.., where to buy, what kind of Erhu is good enough, re-stringing,.

I'm really curious., can I have a question? the Erhu have a two strings right? and how far can it reach in scale? you played in the vid D major scale... and is the positioning of the fingers is like playing a cello? c: I will be super happy if you answer this c:

  • @malditachan12 Hi! You can google eason music erhu and see our selections of erhu for sale. Yes the erhu has 2 strings. It can play around 3 octaves. Positioning of fingers is similar to the violin or cello.

  • where can I buy an Erhu??

  • @themario3 Please google Eason Enterprises and you will see our online shop. Thanks!

  • my father just bought a erhu from EASON enterprises.

  • That's great!

  • I plan on shopping for an Erhu this month and I would really like to thank you in advance because these videos are going to be sooo helpful in learning how to play. I know a total of 0 people who also play this instrument, and so help will probably be few and far between. Thanks again!

  • @Madamoiselle666 No. Bowing creates enough friction to make a note sound, without the support of the fingerboard. This is possible on every string instrument, inculding violin family.

  • So I guess the notes are played on harmonics, and the strings don't need to be pushed down to get the sound?

  • @sammyenjosh Saiunkoku Monigatari FTW ^_^

  • @sammyenjosh I'd never heard of it until my girlfriend bought me one home from hong kong lol and a liu qin as well lol

  • It doesn't look difficult Y.Y Looks can be deceiving. I never heard of it untill I saw Saiunkoku Monigatari. What an interesting instrument! very small and delicate. I want one, but I can't afford another instrument T_T

  • @TheWorldEditor Yea, my math teacher that is chinese says he always wanted to learn to play one but he says he's too old now because it's the most difficult instrument in the world.I'm not sure about that, but it does seem just as hard as the violin...
