Ever consider the chlorine level, the dioxin level, mercury level, pcb level, trihalomethane level, etc ....... bacteria refers to potability not drinkability. if it tastes like crap, bacteria notwithstanding, it is crap no matter what this stupid holier than thou reporter thinks.
bottled water is convenient, tasty, and if filtered by carbon or RO IS better than tap water. a reporter as brilliant as this would know that, HE JUST ISNT TELLING YOU!!
