Clif Bar Shot Of: UNEXPECTED -- Bike Race Perfection

Every once in a while, as fans of cycling, we get treated to something truly spectacular.

On April 10th, 2011, Garmin-Cervélo rider Johan Van Summeren pulled off a fantastic victory at one of the most entertaining pro bike races on the planet.
It was another thrilling Paris-Roubaix - even before Johan crossed the finish line first.

From the team standpoint, the win was about as tactically perfect as anyone could have possibly hoped for -- but it wasn't the win any of us really expected. And that just added to the beauty of it all.

Over here at CLIF, it simply doesn't get any better than watching a Team CLIF Bar sponsored rider & team win Paris-Roubaix.

That was the first Paris-Roubaix I ever watched, and what a race it was. I will never forget Johan winning it as he also became one of my favorite riders
