  • yeah we need to impose a 200 dollar/euro/pound fine for every music video or mp3 which people have uploaded.. And we should not forget the people who even dare to link to it...

Poor record label managers, I'm sure they're already standing in line for foodstamps?

  • Carcharias last paragraph nails it. This whole piracy thing is nonsense.

There shouldnt be an industry of music anyway---the concept is sooo tainted.

Imagine a person owning a perfectly unique bird that sings a beautiful song....

He then exploits the birds talents in order to gain not only wealth, but popularity aswell!!---Then when he learns people have been listening to the bird on the street for FREE--he starts a campaign to fine those caught listening to the birds tune

    ITS CORRUPTION

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH riiiight....

  • No. Downloading MP3's isn't killing the industry, greedy companies and beurocratic organizations are.

In australia the ARIA is fighting to increase the amount organizations such as gym's need to pay in royalties in order to use licensed material. The result? Many trainers are now changing their routines to use unlicensed material.

Stealing removes the original, so by claiming that you are stealing by downloading mp3's, the RIAA/ARIA is assuming you were going to buy it in the first place.

  • Open up your weekly city newspaper, look over every band in there playing in your city present and future. Notice the competition? Millions of bands are trying to carve out their name out there, yet only 1% is going to make it. Downloading does take money out of their pockets. But it's virtual $. Since without the speedy trading, and the internet; Bands would have never found their loyal few. Labels have been screwing the bands for years, and now we are seeing a new artistic playing field.

  • I never said I liked it. I don't most of the time. I am musician and like all musicians we tend to think our own music is great. In the end, the people decide who is great and who isn't.

  • yeah ignorant fools who think chipmunk and lady gaga are the greatest things ever.

  • A lot of people like it.

  • Actually, their net income is negative.

  • fag

  • all you have to do is encrypt the port and waalaa
