In Memory of Ellie Potvin [Angel Wings]

Ellie Shoal Potvin was born on October 31st, twin sister to Grace, and daughter to Amy and Tim. Ellie was diagnosed with a rare pediatric cancer called rhabdmyosarcoma in stage 4 at the young age of 6-years-old in July of 2008. Ellie fought a valiant fight. She was in remission for just three months in the summer of 2009, but relapsed in the fall of 2009. Ellie went through brutal chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and also tried a variety of alternative treatments.

Ellie lost her earthly battle but won eternal peace in heaven on June 23, 2010. Ellie's contagious spirit, beautiful smile, and old soul will be forever remembered by all of those who knew and loved her.

During Ellie's 2-year-long battle with childhood cancer, she drew in thousands, even millions. Her caringbridge website has had more than 2 million hits, and a twitter account created to update on her progress drew more than 25,000.

The "Lift Up Foundation" has been established in Ellie's memory by her parents, Amy and Tim. They will, with all of those who were touched by Ellie, continue to live on her spirit and put an end to pediatric cancers.

@candysfindachild I think I read somewhere that someone said that Amy had said they were fraternal but looked alike, just like the Olsens. I'm not so sure. I'm a twin myself, identical (we know by the photos of when we were younger!!), but now my twin n i look not so much alike. doesnt help as im older, shorter, (XP) and wear glasses. Twins that alike ought to be identical.

Oh my gosh! Is that Miley at 1:49? I love her! This vid is so sad though. Ellie was always smiling even in the hospital. May she rest in peace.
