@zacktillery Not all traditional arts are dying Muay Thai is still used today. Machida uses mainly Karate in his fights. Akiyama uses Judo. And Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an evolution of traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu. Boxing could be tracked back as far as 675 B.C. sounds traditional to me. All to Disciplines above are used in MMA today. Kung fu sucks so does Akido.

@crazyben108 He fought Couture who was 5 years older than Toney so that is a terrible excuse. Art Jimmerson vs Royce Gracie / Francois Botha vs Akiyama (despite a huge weight advantage) under 2 minute tapout. If you only know one skill you will get beat in MMA, simple. Mercer beat Sylvia who wanted to box a boxer (stupid) but Mercer was also choked out in 1 min by Kimbo who had zero combat sports experience. Both sports are hard as hell in their own way but MMA is more about he complete fighter.

@MilkMan2828 boxing is overall a much better sport.. it takes guts, skill,dedication, and heart into boxing.. in mma u dont need any of that...

@crazyben108 once i again i bring the fact back up that bj would just have to take him down, hes also a black belt in brazilian ju jitsu. all he has to do is rush through the punches which would be easy grab his legs pick him up and take him down, from there its an automatic win. and the only reason they are paid millions is because more people watch boxing than ufc and mma which makes no sense cause ufc is twice as entertaining to watch, its the true aspect of fighting.
