Trish Murphy performing "Thelma & Louise" at Roots On The River - Bellows Falls, VT June 8, 2005. It's available on her current cd "Girls Get In Free".
My favorite show of hers was in late 2000 at the Saxon Pub in Austin. She played about 3/4 of her show when she broke a string on her guitar and her amp started shorting out. She unplugged her acoustic and played "Boiling Water" very calmly and slowly while walking around in the crowd. It was so silent in the place that you could hear a pin drop. I saw Gretchen Bullock (Sandra's Sister) at a nearby table enjoying the show. Milford Milligan was there too, but just to watch. Unforgettable.
I really love her music. Poignant, acheful, and playful. Wish she'd do more of her own stuff...and tour the East Coast, too!
