England went to munich in a vital encounter against there old foe germany. after just six minutes the germans took the lead but englands michael owen hit back after 13 minutes and then went on to score a hattrick that left the germans for dead and a 5-1 thrashing.

This was a classic. I worked for BMW in their MINI factory in Oxford at the time and they let us stop work to watch the game.There were loads of Germans over from Munich in the factory at the time too. It was great ribbing them all day long about it!! We photo copyed loads of 5's and 1's and randomly stuck them to the cars going down the line!!. Priceless.
