This is from back in May/June 1986 at the Philadelphia Spectrum. Here is a continuation of the Hulk Hogan/King Kong Bundy feud . Back in the day, the WWE (WWF at the time) would run monthly shows at the Spectrum. These monthly shows continued until about 1990, after the WWE became a national power.

Here is a Main Event matchup between Hulk Hogan and King Bong Bundy, including a great pre-match promo with Bundy. Suzette Charles, who was Miss America in 1984, was also in the promo. Bundy's promo was great. Miss America's promo was hilarious. She was tripping over herself trying to trash talk.

DISCLAIMER - I do not own this video. This is property of WWE. I taped this when I was 9 years old.

  • I can't believe that King Kong Bundy is still alive!

  • @LowellDevil

I heard he is doing stand up comedy and he is pretty damn good.

  • Was that Vince McMahon (now the current CEO of the WWE) announcing?

  • @tyrese3745

That was Gorilla Monsoon and Dick Graham. They used to be the regular announce team at the monthly cards in Philadelphia.

  • is this the rematch from wrestlemania 2?

  • Yes. This match was about 2 months after Wrestlemani 2. After they put together the big PPV, they had a bunch of return matches at their normal monthly venues like Boston Garden, Philly Spectrum, and Madison Square Garden.

  • They were actually beating on each other outside the ring, I guess the fake punches weren't really a mainstay yet.

  • I was at this match, with my dad...my first WWF Hulk Hogan match...10 years old..still have the original event Program.

  • THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! ...for posting this..I was 10 yrs. old, and my father and me drove from Atlantic City...without tickets THIS night......it was sold out when we got there, but thank god for the guys leaving the parking lot that didn't want their tickets...lol!!!.....

I WAS TEN YEARS OLD, I SAT UP IN THE RAFTERS OF THE SPECTRUM.....I JUST WANTED TO SEE HULK HOGAN.....to be cont:

  • Hogan at his peak sold out the largest venues like the Garden and the Spectrum as if they were high school gyms and fan reaction? Shit everybody from little kids to senior citizens were rabid Hulkamaniacs responsible for the immeasurable pops the Immortal One received upon his entrance into the arena, during his match, after the match, on the way to his limo, on the highway to the airport and on his flight to the next city! No professional wrestler has EVER come close to his popularity, brother!

  • @tyrese3745 vince wasnt announcing here but he did announce till about 1997 and he was really good

  • @tornadotp Listen to the voice between 1:22 and 1:29. That is definitely McMahon. Most house shows that were broadcasted (MSG, Boston, Toronto, Spectrum) used a three-man commentary team. Graham's voice is similar to McMahon's, but when you specifically listen to the part about taking us to ringside, it is McMahon. That was typical back then. Gorilla and another commentator would do the match, and McMahon would basically be the third banana and the one to tidy up the loose ends.

  • spectrum wrestling was awesome. I went so many times as a kid

  • I think Suzette's gettin a drunken squash from Bundy after the match! :D

  • Wow Suzette was hot...didn't remember that!

Best line from Bundy.."when we have beautiful children together..its scary to think about!"

    Classic Bundy was THE LEGEND!!!

  • @tornadotp Yeah I read that too. He was doing that in Norway or something.
