Reality TV dominates cable television in America. It's relatively inexpensive to produce and attracts young viewers. It has been putting many actors and television writers out of business.
Reality TV ranges in style from the long-running "American Idol" on the Fox Network to the relatively new "Jersey Shore," which is the highest rated series in MTV history.
E-Media sophomore Lindsay Bays talked to Division Head Marjorie Fox and E-Media Professor John Owens, to get their views on reality television in this video segment.
