This is the fourth leveling area, and the first major one for quite a while (the second was the previous). Ice spells are especially useful for quick "snake cleanup". You may note that I have two "enemy lure" materia equipped. This is obtained in Gold Saucer at the battling area, spending battle points. The HP and MP pluses come from a shop in Cosmo Canyon, which is where this levelling ground is. Keep in mind though, once you clear this event, you can't return (at least, I don't recall if you can anyway). Normally, I'm in my fifth leveling grounds when I'm at this level, of which is sometimes the last as I, in later plays, have a sixth one, that last I ever use (and its still on disk 1).

Due to mastered materia, especially "all", "transform", and "exit" (I don't have "exit" yet at this point, that's obtained immediately before the fifth leveling grounds), this is the time where my gil sky rockets to the extremes. What I have at this point is nothing compared to what I'd normally have when I finally reach level 99, just 3%. My record is 1.3 billion.... An "all" materia only needs 35,000 AP to master but selling a mastered one nets 1.4 million, a 40:1 ratio. Exit, if I recall, takes 30,000 to master, but a mastered one only nets 700,000 (a 23 1/3:1 ratio). Basically, for every 1 AP you get for an all, you're getting 40 gil. 100 AP gained in one battle on a double-growth piece of equipment means 8000 gil and that's just one piece of materia. Combine several "junk" ones (as I have with Red XIII's weapon) and this is further amplified. Something like "fire" only has a 1:1 ratio making it not worthy, but still, I replace mastered materia with the new one I get and keep at it. I demonstrate this a few times throughout the video as well.

  • btw i forgot to mention, my characters are around lvl 30. is it still good for Junon or should i go to your 4th lvling place? Thanks.

  • The 4th leveling ground is a one-time-only place to level up. The Junon alarm method, if I recall from others' posts, is available at about the same time. You might prefer to level up a bit in the 4th leveling ground until you are confident enough to be able to handle the enemies in the Junon area via the alarm.

  • Where do you suggest to lvl right after the Mythril mines? i want to try that place on your vid, but i've heard the junon alarm thingy is better, what's your opinion?

  • I've never tried the Junon alarm method as I was completely unaware of it when I made these videos. I haven't touched FF7 since I made these FF7 videos either.... Disgaea has taken over pretty much everything I play. After all, 2300 hours racked up in under 2 years says a lot.

  • you missed the best leveling area cd 1...

  • At the time, I was completely unaware of the existence of the Junon alarm method and this is my 4th play of FF7.

  • @ulillillia kk, im cool. still this is a good place for better players. sucks for new guys since there is no Hotel / Safepoints

  • Two words, one big hint: save frequently. Save at least every half hour. Before venturing far into unknown territory after extensive powerleveling, always save at the previous savepoint first. Of course, there's always the very lame 6th leveling ground which isn't all that far away from here anyway. Lame: requires little or no interaction (little in this case).

  • @ulillillia thanks man this level area is amazing spent 6 hrs doing it and got lvl 47 characters but right when i left the place i forgot to save and fought the boss when u try to get vincent and got killed and now im back at lvl 26 at red xlll house so ima just move on to final fantasy 9 for now and follow your leveling guides then do 8 and got back and continue off on 7.

  • @ulillillia Okay thanks,Your a big help. Sorry for asking the same questions over though,I can be a little slow at times lol but anyways thanks a lot man I really needed this
