On 6/30/2011 a web cam located near the Butt-Holdsworth Library in Kerrville Texas filmed the moving of this 115 yr old building from its home at 433 Water St. Mark and Linda Stone purchased this property and have arranged for its moving. The unit being moved consists of three apartments..all that is left of the original 8 on the property. The property belonged to my mother Queen Dowd for approx 40 years. It was the childhood home to me (Belinda Dowd Hough Fleming), my sister Pat Dowd (deceased in 1948) and to my late brother Thomas Dowd . Several units were sold/torn down in the late 1960's. The remaining buildings will be torn down to make room for Library parking. The surviving building was moved to 415 Clay St. It will set next to the Rails a Cafe at the Depot. The Rails was earlier restored by Mark and Linda Stone. A big thank you from me Belinda to Joe Herring Jr and Linda Stone of Kerrville for alerting me to the project. The place was my home for many years. I will enjoy visiting its new home.
