To many, justice Nicholas Ombija may have passed as just another high court judge, that is, until he delivered a ruling that all but destabilized diplomatic relations between Kenya and Sudan, sending Kenyan government officials into a diplomatic and legal offensive in efforts to mend the strained relations. And while this goes on, the man behind the ruling sits easy, sticking by his judgement, insisting that no one...including sitting heads of state, was above international criminal law. But, who is this man justice Nicholas Ombija? Our senior reporter Evelyn Wambui spent time with him and brings us the story of a man who firmly believes that the landmark ruling he made more than anything else, documents the path of judicial reforms in Kenya. Here then is tonight's edition of newsmakers.

  • Justice Ombija is great scholar and a great champion of the rule of law.

  • LOL... I like this guy! And I believe he is right!

  • Government caught napping

  • Lol, seems like a very eccentric and easy to prickly guy. The reporter should have asked if he took the Vienna convention in account when he ruled coz thats the crux of the appeal. I am glad he ruled Bashir be arrested, hopefully it wasnt a ruling in error. Bashir is a bloody murderer and shouldnt be allowed to step into Kenya.

  • Thou shalt not be a victim, thou shalt not be a perpetrator, and above all, thou shalt not be a bystander.Justice Ombija, standing for right when it is not popular is the truest test of moral character and you've done mighty well.
