Well that was the purpose of the character...no one wanted to pay to see something they see on cartoon network you know..the joker that HL played really captured the darkness of the character while adding to the dark effect that christopher nolan was trying to portray with the new batman series...my opinion. HL was the best joker hands down and anyone that tries to play the part again either be damn good or take a totally different approach with the character.

the joker was stratigic and wasn't stupid he didn't eat the people he killed with a passion and love for it but he wasn't eating his victims organs so he was just evil and not a weird cannibal or some dumbass wearing a mask or something. That's why he got an award for best actor, and that's also proves that the dark knight wasn't a b movie and mode over 400 million in just one movie with the other guys it took them 4 movie to make that much!
