The North End beach at Mablethorpe must be one of the best on the UK mainland. The first glimpse is excellent, and for some reason the sea looks almost blue here, instead of the usual 'mud' of the East Coast.
Even at low tide there is still a vast expanse of virgin sand, usually with only a scattering of a few people, except at the height of a hot summer.
