Hey Cats
As documented in the excellent book by Cliff McLenehan - A Chronology - which is a day by day account of Marc's life!
This video seems to be the first one to made in the UK and was shot in the afternoon of 3rd May 1973. The location is unknown but must have been London as Marc had only come home from L.A. the previous day.
'The Groover' charted at No.4 in the Uk in June '73. This was three months after the release of the single '20th Century Boy' and the album 'Tank'. Neither of these singles were on the album which at the time was the norm though that wouldn't happen these days!
The studio shots do seem to be a bit over the top, but the live footage is ace!
Apart from promo films made by The Beatles and The Stones, T.Rex can probably claim to be the 3rd act ever to make videos!
This video is not commercially available but 'Children Of The Revolution','Get It On (Bang A Gong)' and 'Jeepster' are now available to buy on the DVD 'The Final Word' which is an amazing documentary and includes extra footage of Tony Visconti dissecting the recording process for 'Ride A White Swan' and 'Jeepster'!
The audio for 'The Groover' is available on the 30th Anniversary Greatest Hits collection.
It's now easy to keep a little Marc in your heart.

Ok,next time i'll make sure i dont go on Shabbat,as you know,Marc was jewish,went to Piere la chaise in Paris to visit Jim Morrison amd Oscar Wilde too.Next stop Seattle to check Hendrix..

They understand , they even offered me a copy of Marc's label of his grave marker .
Which is really cool becauase it stops a lot of "Fans stealing the markers of his grave yeh ?"
