It can be harmful if you don't do it "right", certainly. The best advice, I think, would be to seek out a voice coach to teach you general method of singing, and then you can incorporate that into the throat method, so that it doesn't do any damage.

His voice is probaly like that from too many fags and JD&Cokes! Hes got a great voice and is a beautiful guy...give him a break!

Can anyone please tell me is this type of throaty singing bad for you.Will it have lasting damage on the throat.The is a form of singing called throat singing but they claim its harmful.
