My russian watch only has a 19,800 bph rate, so my second hand, while smoother than a quartz, does visibly "tick" slightly.

a high bph does not just make a watch fast, it makes the seconds hand sweep in a smoother manner.

Well of course, the hand moves "smoother" because there's less time between each oscillation. Also, i never said a high bhp makes a watch fast, a high beat rate is a fast beat rate, they have the same meaning, one doesn't cause the other.
