lso, you missed the point. The onion is very very clearly not siding with glenn beck. They're making fun of how much people dislike him because he's a complete idiot who has nationwide attention. He basks in it and that's why only idiots like him...and there's enough of them watching his show for him to stay where he is. It's funny because we realize we agree that no one would be particularly sad. That's what happens when you lead a very public and very ignorant life like he does.

It's only that funny because there's an element of truth to it. A lot of people wouldn't be upset if Glenn Beck died as opposed to just a random stranger. It's not the same as saying we're wishing death on him but making it seem like that makes for delicious black comedy. If he was actually not a piece of shit, then it wouldn't really be funny. I'm assuming everyone but you understood that. Why do you think the top rated comment is what it is?
