Great job!

@jasonalara Throttle trim in the middle. I'd recommend getting used to giving 65% throttle in normal mode flight just before the switch to idle-up. This way it will be smooth. Then when switching it off, give a bit negative pitch and then do the switch back.
Unfortunately the Esky transmitter has different pitch curves in both modes that aren't the same around 50% thr. This means mechanically you can't 'get it right' at all. If you've got it set up -8, 0 and +8 pitch, its as good as it gets.

@jasonalara I know its been a while, but basically you need to set the trim to the middle and its best to use a swash plate leveler tool to get it all level. I'd recommend trying to get used to the 'fall and jump' you'll get, as its possible to get a smooth switch using about 65% of throttle when switching to idle-up (it will gain height, but stop when switching to idle-up, doing this in fast succession will give a smooth transition). (The annoying cause lies in the Esky transmitter though.)

hey can this thing do 3d or what???

Try a loop and then push down....

idle up is were the motor is running at a constant speed and just reliing on the pitch of the blades to do the work so u can do 3d
what does the idle up mean

@chubbychicken1234567 "Idle Up" merely is a mode where your motor is spinning at about 80 percent of full power whether you throttle up or down...the up and down control (throttle) now only controls the pitch of your blades. This mode allows you to fly 3D...although I have yet to do that!

@vattenskoterchaffor thanks buddy. once you flip that switch you'll wonder why you never did it earlier! Just make sure the pitch on your blades are corrrect...keep flying!

what is idle up and whats the point?
Aussieboys67 1 year ago
@Aussieboys67 Idle up simply keeps your rotors turning at about 80 percent of the power of your motor (like flooring your gas pedal in your car and keeping it there). While the blades are spinning at high rate, your pitch (the angle of your blades) is all that causes the heli to move up or down. When your not in idle up, the faster your blades spin the higer the heli goes and the slower your blades spin the more you decend. I'm no pro, but this is how I understand it.
