after re-reading my post i am actually thinking i should have directed it towards jonashunter.
he's the idiot who thinks the slidelock will damage the firearm.
-
@tapper45 What i understood from his comment is that he wants to vault the gasses inside the supr. Yes. Your right. It will make it super duper quite. But as natural law of physics state - Every action has an equal or opposite reaction. Every push has a pull. If you push and not pull. You will either blow it up. or any heat will turn into moisture/liquid , and if it needs more room it will break the material. One way to get rid of over-stressed pressure silently is if you have a long tube.

@IEatHarlots Saw the title and just facepalmed because I knew that was coming lol.
-
@CHOSENMARINE Generally wet silencers are for semi-auto use only as most of the liquid will be expended after only a few shots.
-
would it still work officiantly on full-auto???
-
wow, i got to this discussion late but it looks like you NEVER got here.
at least intellectually.
jonas hunter doesn't understand that the moisture inside the can EXCHANGES the heat from the gas so that less heat escapes which reduces the sound sinature during firing.
but you didn't have any idea what you were talking about when you shot down his slide lock statement.
every one of our 92f have slidelocks for use with our suppressors.
i have them for personal guns too.

google "bolt action rifle"

Yes because of course all firearms are gas powered semi automatics, lets completely forget about manually operated bolt action mechanisms and breech and muzzle loading weapons.
I need a sound suppressor for my wife
