Control Riding III The KLR650

A KLR650 following a Sport bike on Summit Point;s Shenandoah Circuit in West Virginia. A Control Rider on a very slow KLR chasing a really fast sport bike. No the KLR does not ever catch him. But it sure does come close at times. It was an interesting show....

Well that was just a lap and a half of a 100 lap day. Track riding to me is safer then Street riding. Between the EMS and corner workers there should be no surprises. And if something does go wrong, you have an ambulance waiting. Remember you are doing the same 2.2 miles over and over again. You start out slow and pick up the pass thru out the day. You get to know every little mark on the track. And where you should be. It can be vet peaceful riding at 7/10ths.

You were really cooking the rpms. Nice video but my experience following a friend on a 1000cc sport bike was very different. He was gone and out of sight before I was out of 2d gear. lol So get that guy to race you on a gravel road! :-)

It helps if its raining. The big bikes can only put so much power down. And I suck in the gravel. It scares me.... I am such a poser.

that was cool...don't think I would have the nerve to do that on my KLR with out doing a whole bunch of test lapse.
