Guild Wars: Pet Ranger with Self Heals

NOTE: THIS BUILD IS SLIGHTLY OUTDATED, BUT THE CONCEPT IS STILL VIABALE.

This is a Ranger build, that allows you to use a pet, while being able to deal decent damage and heal yourself without putting points into Wilderness Survival!

People don't usually use pets the right way and ignore the Beast Mastery Attribute... this video shows you how important and benificial that attribute can be and still be able to self heal.

@ismolaitelaVevo: well.. 1-2 skills are PvE only, so heros cant use those. But I think they might be able to. Pack Hunter hero-way was a popular build for some 1v1 teams.

@SabreWolf18 I didnt get this. I just ment to ask can ranger heros use this smartly enough to be good build for heros. and ofc heros can use "pve only?" skills or did U ment that this build is ONLY for PvP

@ismolaitelaVevo PvE only skills are for players only, so heros can't use those. And as a whole, Pack Hunter (Ranger/Paragon w/ Pet) is a build that players used on ranger heros. So yes, this type of build should work with hero AI. Remeber, Paragon Shouts are included in the Expertise discount. So they shouldn't run into energy issues.

I have a quick question: would making a Monk/Ranger for PvE, using the ranger primarily for Beast Mastery be a viable way to go through PvE? I love Monks, but I would like to be able to solo some stuff as my Monk as well. Is Mo/R a good combination for that?

@lanibutterfly: i tried it once TBH because I wanted to do the same thing. But the problem is, you loose the Expertise for energy management. So if you stick to the 5 energy skills, you might be ok, but in general, it will be hard for you.

@lanibutterfly Mo/R is better of course cause U dont use others than beast mastery and U get beast mastery for secondary too but if U use R/Mo U dont get divine favor attribute which is one of the best monk attributes
