  • I have a '96 XJ built close to this XJ and it makes me feel bad when I can go through mud like this with ease, but the guys with the super lifted Chevys struggle getting through it! Actually, it doesn't make me feel bad, since I only have $5000 (including the price I paid for the Jeep) in mine, but these guys with these Chevys have that into their lift, tires, and wheels!

  • @kc8ntp I'm running with 285/75-16 on some 16X7 rims. They rub a little when I get into some steep inclines or declines but I think I need to get some larger bump stops and trim the fenders a little. I was told the tires I'm using are somewhere between a 33 and a 32.

  • @gonzotxmx That would be 285mm for the width; to convert to standard that would be 285mm / 25.4, or 11.22". The 75 in the size means the sidewall is 75% of the tire width, so to figure that out: 11.22" X 0.75 = 8.415" X 2 = 16.83" for the sidewall height, then add the rim diameter to that for a total of 32.83. So, these are 33X11.25" tires.
