This is Jaff's highlight video from the Power Showcase National High School Home Run Derby. Jaff represented Arizona and is rated one of the top high school players in the nation by Baseball America. Jaff also played on Team USA last year. He will be represented AZ again this at the Finals at Tropican Field in Tampa Bay, home of the Devil Rays.

This field is so fun to play at, when I went to Bucky Dents school I was the only Red Sox fan there and the pitcher was wearing Yankees stuff. I almost jacked one out to right center......... 10 feet short, I got a triple out of it though.

power hitters are the last to be taken into the majors by most smart teams like the angels or the twins... they take people who will get hits, steal bases, and do great in the outfield... and the other kinds of teams get 3 or 4 power hitters and the rest good hitters like the phillies and yankees... then there are the big power teams like the white sox and the rangers... they stack their teams up with 20/30/40 homerun hitters and have like a .240 team batting average and miss playoffs

He reminds me of a young Jason Giambi. At only 19, he still has a lot to prove. That power will be hard to show playing in san diego(petco).

i know what im talking about. his motion transfer from back to forward is wayyy too much, but his strength makes up for it.
his balance may be good, but his SWING is offbalance. he's just an amazing power hitter.
