Lips of an Angel: Xander & Dawn

An AU Video featuring Xander & Dawn.

In this video Xander & Dawn had a relationship before he and Anya were together. Though keep in mind in my video Dawn was of age. The Black and White Clips are Xander's Memories the Sepia Clips are Dawn's Memories, otherwise consider it present time.

Xander & Dawn broke up though remained friends, then he met Anya and supposedly fell in love with her. Dawn though, over time realized she was still in love with him and regretted that they had ever called it quits in their relationship. So in a last chance effort she calls him to confess her feelings just hours before his wedding to Anya.

Xander tries to go through with the wedding anyway because he does love Anya, or at least he thinks he does. Though as time wears on and he keeps remembering times he spent with Dawn and his feelings for her, he starts to wonder if he can really be happy with Anya. Does he really love Anya or just the idea of her?


Dawn mopes about the house and talks to Buffy about what she did, Buffy tries to tell her that there's nothing she can do to change Xander's mind about how he feels about Anya and it sends Dawn into a downward spiral of sadness and she starts thinking about their happier times again.


Xander finally comes to terms that he can't marry Anya because he doesn't love her and may never really have loved her. He tells her that and leaves the chapel heading for Dawn's house to be with the one woman he truly loved.

I loved it you fit it together well. I don't see why people are saying they don't get it and that they weren't a real couple we know that, that's why it's called an AU video. anyway amazing video loved the storyline and the clips went with the song really well.

I liked the clip and the potential Love story between Dawn/Xander! =)

Though I don't get some of the clips, like in the beginning, with Dawn being on the phone and Xander just gets dressed up... so who is she talking to and how does that fit in the video?

I couldn't find any clips of Xander on the phone, so I just used him talking and in my head put an unseen bluetooth headset on him to complete my theory that he was on the phone. lol Pretty much, that's the only way it works.

OK, Buffy was my entire childhood/teenage years, so I loved it... I also love this song... Put it together, along with your storyline, and I genuinely believed that is what happened even though I knew it wasn't! Absolutely brilliant! Well done!

@rainbaby32198 Not really. Xander is about 6-7 years older than Dawn. Which certainly counts as a significant difference but, he's not exactly robbing the cradle. (Actually, I have couples within my own family with a bigger age difference) No way near Buffy/Angel or Buffy/Spike territory, anyway. Our Xander/Anya for that matter! Haha! But, yeah, Xander/Dawn really are an item in the comic book now.
