A huge crowd at Candlestick Park is on hand to catch the Expos visiting the Giants. Monte Moore and Wes Parker call the action. This game was originally aired on USA Network as part of their baseball package in the early 1980s. Included at the end is a Lite Beer commercial featuring the first ever Lite Beer Softball Game.

  • @ 2:31 That's not the Golden Gate Bridge, you idiot!

  • Perhaps Dawson and Carter should have viewed this classic era video to remind them which Team they starred with prior to the HOF Induction;-))

  • Baseball fans remember Wes Parker as the Dodgers' starting first baseman from 1965 to 1972. I wonder how many of them remember that he starred in the Norman Lear sitcom "All That Glitters" in 1977?

  • @Ampxxx777 '81 . . . oh, 1981 . . .

  • @guysmileytoo both Dawson and Carter will always be Expos to me, could care less about defining moments. For me its about my memories seeing them wear a particular jersey (Montreals) for the majority of my days as a bball fan. A "Glamour team" is even more reason to not identify Carter as a met.

  • RIP Gary "Smiley" Carter

  • Wow. I totally forgot that the USA network had sports programming in the 80's.

  • @copyvio Its the Bay Bridge

  • 0:36 Gary Carter rolls his left ankle

  • @siegerjc Personally, I have no problem with both wanting to enter the Hall wearing their post-Montreal team's cap.

  • @siegerjc While you are certainly right that both spent the majority of their major league careers in Montreal, both were ultimately defined by their time in New York and Chicago, respectively. The Hawk is most remembered for his 87 MVP season on the north side of the Windy City; daytime baseball and his presence in Chicago simply meant more than what he did at an Expos. Similarly, the Kid was an essential part of that glamour team in New York; Gary's legacy is defined by the 86 championship.

  • Monte Moore of all people should have known that wasn't the Golden Gate Bridge. He was an Oakland A's broadcaster!
