I've been smiling so wide this entire time, but the minute he said "I want to be a good monk" I actually started crying. Please tell me; have you seen any bad things occur at the monasteries?

We are not aware of any bad activities except inside occupied Tibet where monks and nuns are often arrested and tortured.
