  • nice one rich! it's awesome that the prime ministers abouts on the tube.

  • Hi fro! hope all is well with you. His first round of answers released recently were quite interesting to watch. They must think it a worthwhile platform as they are now having a second round of questions for him regarding the NHS with it coming up to its 60th birthday. See if he answers this one....

  • Great question Rich, hope we all get the answer we need. I'm not so lucky, my catchment hospital is Ipswich where a baby died in the maternity unit, MRSA was blamed. Same maternity unit gave me MRSA, sent me home with it even though I objected. Training as a microbiologist I recognised the smell, but I was too poorly to fight them. My midwife & Dr. at home got me sorted. But delay resulted in abscesses which burst open my C-section wound. Not great when you just had a 9lb baby. Cheers, Lesley

  • Aww that is tragic about the baby Lesley and terrible that you contracted it too! At least you recognised the symptoms but I understand how difficult it can be to stand your ground when in a weakened state, thank goodness your GP and midwife were on board!

  • Stop expecting the government and fail-fag Brown to do the work with our money ! Do it yourself. Stupid loser.

  • Yeah, good question... A friend of mine caught an anti-biotic resistant "super bug" quite recently from her boyfriend, who went to the hospital for surgery but had a cut on his leg.

    Scary stuff.

  • Good question... good point... hospitals are scary enough places as they are. Hope everything went OK.

  • You are right rich. That is a great question for our president too :)

  • It wasn't a happy start for us Mary but at least we're both OK now. I no longer have the neat little scar intended I look like I've been butchered! But looking on the bright side, my pot belly hides the scar LOL. Cheers, Lesley

  • I'll keep everything crossed for you when you go into hospital. Will PM you soon...

  • What a terrible story Lesley - I had no idea you had such a bad time having Hannah, poor you!

  • (It took 2 days for my 7-year-old computer to load this vid properly---my MAIN computer has been in hospital for over 2 weeks!)

Good on you, Rich, for getting the word out regarding hospital sanitation. When Bob here had his 9 kidney operations in 8 months, there was more than enough opportunity for us to see what kinds of bugs actually do make the rounds in these establishments. If something looks "off", TELL THE STAFF!(Then secretly photograph it if needbe)

    Fingers crossed for you!:D

  • As much as I love to watch surgery videos, I will respect your privacy and not request that you make a video of it!

  • Hi Lee, if all goes well only a week, the major part of the leg surgery was done in 2006, this hip replacement part apparently is quite straight forward - fingers crossed! (don't think I'll be making a vid of the operation for Youtube though lol!) Hope you had a lovely weekend!
