@tobeyourselfisall atheists are more rational and those that she mentioned in the video have more evidence for whatever it is they think than any religion. ufo's, conspiracies, anything like that has some evidence. so you should probably look at whether something has evidence or not before saying anything is irrational. "holy" texts are irrational because there is nothing to support them, ufo's and maybe some conspiracies actually have at least something in their favor.

Atheism does not require use of the scientific method. It only requires that there is no belief in god. There should be a distinction btwn that & humanism.

Her point wasn't that atheism in itself is irrational, but that atheist also can hold irrational beliefs.
I for one commend healthyaddict for holding tabs on our selves. Critical thinking requires one to check your own beliefs again and again.

there are atheist that are rational and atheist that are not. but there is no religius people that are sceptics or rationalists
