Your opponent locks in the triangle completely and you escape. This is a solid escape into a good guard pass where you end up straight into mount with an opportunity to triangle your opponent from mount.

  • Thanks guys. This is one of the first videos I created. The newer ones a lot more refined.

Like any escape with a locked in submission, there aren't very many options. Give it a shot and see how it works for you.

    I appreciate the comments.

  • excellent chance of a transition to arm bar...but it did like the transition to full mount...that was awesome

  • I can see me trying to use this as a last stitch escape attempt if I cant get my arm back across but it just seems like to me the success rate would be lower

  • @Couch2Cage all else fails, take chunk out of his leg/crotch with your teeth!!!

  • its not really triangle escape... it wasnt locked in so....

  • But, what if he has control of your arm? thats the only thing i have a problem with.

  • you'd have to do that Crazy fast to pull it off, cuz there's no way some idiot would lay there after you already escaped, and not only let you mount him, but slap on a triangle. i like the escape though, and the concept of it is pretty cool, but like i said, for the entire thing to work you'd either have to be goin against someone who sucks, or you'd have to be ridiculously fast with it. but still, nice video. very creative

  • Ryan Hall has a nice counter to this move

  • Watch for Oma polata

  • Good escape, use it alot. Only downside is the danger of getting armbarred on the inside arm.
