The trouble with any drawing tutorial is...they assume you have some experience.
Look at books about drawing. They will take you step by step through it - even if you are copying the same picture. Same goes for books on animation. Yes, it is a baby step, but after that we figure it out and our imaginations is now applied. I hate when I have to figure out how to do this or that when the instructor shows his fancy picture but does not tell us how. They are afraid of actual artists. IMO

The videos from their website help a lot. At first I tried just going through the book, but it doesn't list all the steps but the video shows them all.
